Guilliaem Momma of Holland is said to have "come to America in the mid 1600's".

He was co-owner, with Wouter Van Twiller, of the ship "Geldersche Blom" and owner also of the ship "St. Jan Baptist"'

1) "GELDERSCHE BLOM" "Flower of the Gelderland" (captain Symen Claesen, owned by Wouter van Twiller and Guilliaem Momma), left Texel Dec. 25th 1656, arrived in New Amsterdam about March 19th 1657 with 11 colonists for Nieuwer-Amstel.

2) "ST. JAN BAPTIST" (captain Symen Claesz., owner Guilliaem Momma) left Amsterdam after Dec. 18rh 1657, arrived in New Amsterdam before June 3rd 1658 with 9 colonists.

Wouter Van Twiller's wife was Maria Momma. Wouter Van Twiller was the nephew of the Patroon Killiaen Van Rensselaer. He was the son of Ryckert van Twiller and Killiaen's sister Maria Van Rensselaer.

Maria Momma is described as "a niece of Killiaen Van Rensselaer", but I have not been able to determine her ancestry. It seems very likely that she was related to Wouter Van Twiller's partner in ownership of the "Geldersche Blom" Guilliaem Momma, who is said to have been from Hamburg., but if so, the relationship hasn't come to light.

I can, of course, find information about Wouter Van Twiller's public activities, but I find little to nothing about his wife and issue, if , indeed, they had any.

I have only found two of the 9 colonists who came on the "Geldersche Blom" and would be very interested in finding out who the rest were.
